Footballing passion and love for the beautiful game was on complete display as the All Stars Football Club went head to head against some of digital’s popular influencers and content creators for a special match in honor of the Argentine footballing legend – Diego Maradona. Held on November 3rd, at Jamnabai Grounds, Mumbai, the match was played just days after the superstar’s 61st birth anniversary and the recently released Amazon Original Series, ‘Maradona: Blessed Dream’.
It was an evenly-contested battle that witnessed Maradona: Blessed team players – Awez Darbar, Rj Abhinav Zaid Darbar Viraj Ghelani Karan Sonawane, Shyam Sharma, Dhruv Shah, Nishit, Aaron Koul, Jatt Prabhjot, Ranveer Allahbadia, Raj Shamani, Viraj Sheth, Bhumeet Gupta, Joshua Das, Yusuf Ansari, Tabish Shaikh Carlton Fernandes,Avilon Noronha, Ashfaq Khan Shoeb K, Hardik Patel and Kapil Batus play against the star-studded All Star Footbal Club that included players such as Ranbir Kapoor, Vivian Desena, Shoojit Sircar, Leander Paes, Caesar Gonsalves, Karan Wahi, Rohan Shrestha, Aditya Seal, Armaan Ralhan, Samir Kocchar, Meezaan Jaffrey, Karan Veer Mehra, Harpreet, Ahan Shetty, Abhimanyu Dassani, Tanay Anand and Jim Sarbh play to honour the legacy of the football genius.
Maradona: Blessed team won the toss and kicked off the proceedings with a rapturous applause and brought their A-game on the field. With the game ending in a draw, the deadlock was broken by the Maradona: Blessed team, who struck the winning goal in the penalty shootout with a sublime finish!
With crowds, that included family and friends of the players, cheering the teams from kick-off to the final whistle, a power-packed game and all of it played in honor of one of the greatest footballers of all time, football was the ultimate winner.
