Jennifer Gates’ lavish, multimillion-dollar wedding over the weekend was overshadowed by her parents, Bill and Melinda Gates — with the 25-year-old since admitting it had been a “challenging” year given the billionaires’ high-profile divorce.

The lead-up to Jennifer’s highly anticipated wedding to Nayel Nassar in Westchester on Saturday was dominated by headlines about her philanthropist parents in the wake of their split five months earlier.

Jennifer alluded to the high-profile divorce when she touched on the challenges of planning her big day in a Vogue spread published Monday.

“It’s been a challenging year, both collectively with the pandemic and for our families going through transitions,” Jennifer said.

“But our love for one another has been a constant. Being able to celebrate our wedding with our closest friends and family was a dream come true.”

The wedding, which drew international headlines, was the first time Bill and Melinda were pictured together since announcing their divorce in May after 27 years of marriage.

Photos of the former couple appeared to show them putting on a united front for their daughter’s nuptials.

But even after the big day, Bill was back dominating headlines again after a new report published in the Wall Street Journal alleged Microsoft executives once ordered him to stop sending flirty emails to a female subordinate back in 2007.

The reports of alleged misbehavior surfaced the same day Vogue published its huge spread dedicated to Jennifer’s $2 million nuptials, which detailed her custom Vera Wang dresses and how guests were required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

More than 300 family and friends of the couple attended the exorbitant wedding bash, “which is why we made the decision that all guests must be fully vaccinated and receive a negative test result prior to the wedding,” Gates said in the interview.

“We also made masks available. We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to gather with our loved ones safely. We know others aren’t as lucky, especially as the pandemic continues to devastate communities in the United States and around the world.”

Jennifer and her groom, who was born in Chicago to Egyptian parents and raised in Kuwait, initially met on the equestrian circuit and competed together while the two attended Stanford, according to Vogue.

They got engaged in January 2020.

The wedding was held at Jennifer’s $17 million horse farm in North Salem, where a series of interconnected, glass-covered areas were erected in the days prior.
